Alex Thach or more commonly known as "AlexT" is an American Tetris Player, Alex has competed in several different Tetris tournaments. On March 12th, 2024 Thach became the first person to reach an obscure level glitch that contains 810 lines, breaking the record for most points at 16,248,080 points[1] breaking the previous world record held by P1xelAndy at 8,952,432 points and also becoming the 4th person to "beat" the game and also the 1st person to ever get Rebirth

Tetris Career

Thach began Playing Tetris in 2020, Starting out as a Hypertapper, Thach then became the first person to max out the score display at just 11 years old. [2] Thach was notable for breaking several Lines and Level world records. Throughout 2021 he managed to place top 8 in Classic Tetris Monthly Masters events and winning his first Classic Tetris league Tournament. in his CTWC Debut he was defeated by Benjy by a few thousand points[3] he finally won his first master's event in December of 2021. in 2022 he won the master's event again after defeating Sidnev and getting 2nd place in the Monthly master's event in February and September, and he also qualified for the 2022 CTWC he was frequently selected as the favorite to win the champion, but he lost to Sidnev in the top 16. in 2023 CTM Mega master's event he defeated dogplayingtetris and then would face TommyNTG the match would end up being one of the best of all time as Thach would end up getting a score of 1.7 million, winning the title. on March 11th, 2024, he would post a photo showing he got a score of 9,903,960 points, but unfortunately it wasn't recorded, the next day he would play a game lasting around an hour and getting an unprecedented score of 16,248,080 points definitively Breaking the world record held by P1xelAndy with 8,952,432 points. and in April of that same year, he became the 1st person to ever beat the game back-to-back and the 1st person to trigger an obscure glitch called "summoning Satan" and on May 5th, 2024 he came the first person to ever trigger a glitch where the game would overflow the level counter back to 0.
