Alisha Palmowski (born 21 September 2006) is a British racing driver and the runner-up of the 2024 GB4 Championship.
Career
editKarting
editMaking her competitive karting debut in the 2018 BirelART UK Series – Junior category, she moved to the Daniel Ricciardo Series – DRS100 for the rest of her career, finshing in 9th in 2019, and runner-up to the title in 2020 and 2021.
Ginetta Junior Championship
editAlisha Palmowski won the 2022 Ginetta Junior Scholarship, joining Jamie Chadwick as the only women to earn the honor.[1] She finished the Winter Championship in 2nd place. Palmowski finished the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship in 13th, with six top-10 finishes.
She continued in the series for 2023, getting her first car racing podium and best result with a third place at Oulton Park. At the next race she bested this result with two second places at Silverstone Circuit. The Brit continued this momentum throughout the series, getting three out of three podiums at Brands Hatch, and her first pole position at the second race of the final round at Donington Park, she was unable to convert her pole in a win, but came in second place.
Palmowski finished 5th in the championship with 10 podiums, one pole position and 498 points.[2]
GB4
editPalmowski continued her relationship with Elite Motorsport in the 2024 GB4 Championship, making her single-seater debut.[3]
She had a impressive debut race, winning the first race of the season by margin of 3.6 seconds.[4] The rest of her season of reasonably modest, a noted round of her campaign was at Snetterton where she got her first pole position of the series in the first race, picking up another pole a race later, as she converted that pole into a win. Palmowski got her third win in the third and final race.
She got five more podiums in the series, four third places and one second placed, ending her campaign runner-up to the title with 3 wins, 2 pole positions and 11 podiums, with 422 points.
