Draft:AloFor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

AloFor is a Romanian travel technology company that provides prepaid eSIM mobile data services for international travellers. The company is operated by AloFor S.R.L.[1][2]

History

[edit]

AloFor was developed in Romania by Ahmad Khodr, the company's founder and chief executive officer. start-up.ro reported that the platform was developed to allow travellers to select destinations, compare eSIM plans, complete payment and receive eSIM information digitally.[1]

The company publicly launched in July 2026. Presence News described AloFor as a Romanian travel-technology startup operating in the international travel eSIM market and reported that it was bootstrapped at the time of publication.[2]

In an August 2026 interview with StartupValley, Khodr described AloFor as a Romanian-built travel-technology company focused on international eSIM connectivity and said that the company had been designed for an international market from its early development.[3]

Services

[edit]

AloFor provides prepaid eSIM data plans for international travel. In August 2026, start-up.ro reported that the platform offered service across more than 200 destinations.[1]

VSDaily also reported that AloFor had launched digital eSIM plans across more than 200 destinations.[4]

Presence News reported that AloFor does not operate its own mobile network. Instead, it works with international eSIM infrastructure partners and aggregators that provide access to local and regional telecommunications networks.[2]

VSDaily similarly described the company as operating as a digital layer between regional telecommunications operators and end users rather than investing in physical network infrastructure.[4]

The service is available through a web platform and mobile applications, through which customers can select destinations, compare available plans, complete payment and receive eSIM information digitally.[1]

Business model

[edit]

According to Presence News, AloFor's platform manages elements of the customer transaction including the plan catalogue, pricing, customer orders, payment, digital delivery and support.[2]

Market

[edit]

Presence News described AloFor as a new entrant in the international travel eSIM market and discussed its positioning alongside established international eSIM providers.[2]

VSDaily reported that the company was targeting international travellers and focusing on product discovery, digital activation and direct customer support.[4]

Because the company had only recently launched at the time of the article, Presence News noted that it was too early to determine whether AloFor would gain significant market share.[2]
