Alto Oates was an African-American blues singer.[1] She headlined Irvin C. Miller's Brown Skin Girls along with George Bias.[2]
She performed in a revue at Connie's in New York City in 1926.[3]
1929 performed with Sandy Burns, Mandy Randolph, Tillie Marshall, Speedy Wilson, Ted Blackmon and George Wiltshire.[4]
