Amanmeet Singh (Gurmukhi: ਅਮਨਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, Born 23 September) is an Indian actor and director known for his work predominantly in Punjabi cinema and Hindi cinema. Amanmeet Singh made his film debut as lead with punjabi feature film Mera Baba Nanak.[1][2] He had also featured in many other punjabi and hindi films CAT for Netflix, Raat, Gunaah, Marjaney, Sarabha and Parchavein. He is a sikh actor.

In addition to his film career, Amanmeet has done theatre for few years in the past. He is also a professional dentist and worked as a dentist for few years in his hometown. He has also been a famous sikh model and has won many titles.

Early life

Amanmeet Singh was born on 23 September, in Moga, Punjab, to S.Resham Singh Ji and Bibi Ravinder Kaur Ji, in a Punjabi Sikh family. His father retired from Punjab Electricity Board and his mother is a housewife. He spent most of his childhood in his hometown and went to Sacred Heart School, Moga for the early education till matriculation in ICSE Board, and done his secondary education in medical cum non medical stream in PSEB (Punjab School Education Board).

After completing his schooling, Amanmeet studied for a bachelor's degree in Dental surgery from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. He was good in academics and in extra curricular activities.

Career

Amanmeet started his career as a sikh model in 2012 and participated in many modelling competitions. He has won titles of Mr.Singh in Andaz e Sikhi in 2012 and also been the winner of Sardarji and Sardarni[3] in 2017. He represented India in Australia as model and performed in Australia. He started his acting career from theatre where he got opportunity to do stage plays. He started his Filming career with a debut in a bollywood movie Battle of Saragarhi[4] starring Randeep hooda and being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, but unfortunately that film was shelved.[5] Then, he did some punjabi films and hindi films. He also played an important part in a webseries CAT by Netflix. After a long journey, he made his debut as a lead actor in Mera Baba Nanak[6][7]Punjabi feature film,2023. His role in Mera Baba Nanak as Sahib, an idealistic man who has utter faith in Guru Nanak ji, was admired by the everyone.
