Amethi 2024 Lok Sabha election

editAmethi is one of the 80 Lok sabha.[1] seat ( seat of the lower house of the parlianment ) from the Uttar Pradesh state in heart of india. This constituency was created in 1967. It consist of 5[2] vidhan sabha seat- Amethi, Gauriganj, Tiloi, Salon and jagdishpur. Amethi in the 2024 Lok sabha seat in considered as high profile seat because it is considered a bastion of indian national congress.

editThere are three main contenders for the seat. BJP has chosen Smriti irani as their contender for this seat in their first list which was released on [3]2nd March 2024. BSP has nominated Nanhe Singh Chauhan for this election. INC on the last day of nomination has given a chance to Kishori Lal Sharma, a loyalist for the Gandhi Family[4]
