"Andito Lang" is a song by Filipino boy band BGYO, released as a single on December 5, 2024 through Star Music.[1] Written by BGYO member Mikki Claver and Chris "Moophs" Lopez and produced by Moophs, the pop-rock song was inspired by the members' bond and their experiences of living away from their families while facing challenges in their career.[2]
The song followed BGYO's August 2024 single "Trash".[2] It was later included as the fifth and final track on the group's self-titled extended play BGYO, released in March 2025.[3] In July 2025, Billboard Philippines included "Andito Lang" in its curated list of five P-pop songs that could "save the Hon-moon", highlighting its message of friendship and mutual support.[4] The song was later used as the official theme song of the 2025 Philippine film The Four Bad Boys and Me.[5]
Background and release
[edit]Following the release of "Trash" on August 22, 2024, BGYO began teasing another song through its social-media accounts in November.[2] On November 27, the group shared a preview of "Andito Lang" accompanied by the phrase "Sa bawat ikot ng mundo, ang @bgyo_ph ay #AnditoLang", signalling their upcoming release.[6]
The single was released on digital download and streaming platforms on December 5, 2024.[1]
"Andito Lang" was written by BGYO member Mikki Claver with Chris Lopez, professionally known as Moophs. According to the group, the song drew from their shared experience of living away from their families and supporting one another while navigating difficulties in their career.[2]
In March 2025, "Andito Lang" was included on BGYO's self-titled five-track EP as its closing track. The EP also contains "Divine", "Trash", "Light My Fire" and "Heartstrings".[3]
Composition and lyrics
[edit]"Andito Lang" is a Filipino-language pop-rock song.[7] It has a duration of two minutes and 46 seconds,[1] while Shazam lists the recording at 133 beats per minute.[8]
The lyrics focus on reassuring another person that they will not have to face difficult moments alone. Billboard Philippines characterised the song as an ode to BGYO's friendship and collective experiences.[2] EnVi Media similarly described the song as conveying support and comfort, noting its theme of remaining by another person's side during hardship.[9] In its 2025 editorial selection, Billboard Philippines described the song's melody as warm and its tone as intimate yet confident.[4]
Official video
[edit]An official visualizer for "Andito Lang" was announced following the song's release and premiered on BGYO's official YouTube channel on December 18, 2024.[10] The following day, ABS-CBN News reported the release of the song's official video.[11]
Live performances
[edit]BGYO performed "Andito Lang" during the first day of the Aurora Music Festival at Clark Global City in Pampanga in May 2025. Billboard Philippines reported that the group opened the festival's first-day performances with a set that included "Light My Fire", "Andito Lang" and "Magnet".[12]
The group later performed "Andito Lang" at Summer Sonic Bangkok in August 2025. BGYO was the only Filipino act at the festival, held at the IMPACT Challenger Hall in Bangkok, and performed the song alongside "Gigil", "Headlines", "The Light" (Thai version), "Heartstrings" and "All These Ladies".[13]
