Antony Gordon (born February 1964) is a businessperson, business development consultant, investment banker, motivational speaker, best-selling author,[1] podcast host of The Antony Gordon Show,[2] TEDx speaker,[3] and life coach to several professional athletes and celebrities. He is the CEO of Stealth Consulting Management, Inc. (“SCM”), a boutique consulting firm with an exclusive business development agreement with one of the leading business management firms in the USA, Adeptus Advisors.[12]
Antony has over 25 years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals, professional athletes, influencers, and celebrities, including the likes of Manny Pacquiao,[21] MC Hammer, Jane Seymour, Dominique Wilkins, and Jimmy Donaldson a/k/a MrBeast.[23] He has also assisted public and private companies with respect to a broad range of advisory services related to the capital markets.[16]
Early life and education
editAntony was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.[15]
He received his bachelor’s degree in law and industrial psychology from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa-graduating Cum Laude.[13] He also received his first postgraduate law degree (LL. B) from Wits Law School, again graduating Cum Laude. At Wits Law School, he was the recipient of several awards for academic excellence, including The Edward, Nathan & Friedland Scholarship, as well as the Sir Abe Bailey Fellowship to the United Kingdom, including a sojourn at the London School of Economics and Keeble College, Oxford University. On his return to South Africa, he became one of the youngest Advocates to be admitted before the Supreme Court.[15]
Antony was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship to Harvard Law School (HLS), from which he graduated with a master’s in law (LL.M) in 1990. During his studies at HLS, Antony was the class representative as well as a member of the HLS Law School Council, and President of the Harvard Law School Graduate Committee.
In 2019, Antony was selected to participate in Harvard Business School’s Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports Executive Program.[14]
Career
editAntony spearheads business development for Adeptus , a professional services firm, which includes one of the top business management groups in America, as recognized by The Hollywood Reporter. Prior to Adeptus, Antony assumed a similar role at MGO, where he received the LATM Award on behalf of the firm.[4] Prior to MGO, he headed investor relations at two hedge funds after several years at Morgan Stanley, where he worked as a Senior Vice President.
Speaking
Antony is recognized as one of the most popular inspirational speakers/lecturers in the Jewish World.[5] In addition to having been the guest speaker for major Jewish organizations, he has traveled internationally to speak as both a motivational speaker and as a business marketing/business development coach.
Podcast
Antony hosts "The Antony Gordon Show – Lessons for Life I did not Learn at Harvard” podcast,[6] where he has hosted a range of professional athletes, influencers, and experts, including the likes of Ben Shapiro, David Sacks, Matt Barnes, and Dennis Prager. The show focuses on challenging the accepted ideas of pop culture and calls on listeners to think critically and not function like automatons.[7][22]
Radio
Antony hosts a weekly radio show, Straight Talk with Antony Gordon, broadcast on WSNR 620 AM in Metro, NY, and on WJPR AM in Highland Park and Edison, NJ, on Thursday evenings, and via Talkline Communications.
Writing
Antony is a contributing writer to a number of publications, including The Times of Israel, The Jewish Journal,[8] and Ya’ated Neeman.[17] His seminal work titled Will Your Grandchild Be Jewish?[9] co-authored by Richard M. Horowitz, has been translated into over 10 languages[10] and has appeared/is cited in whole, or in part, in several leading publications, including the likes of Moment Magazine, The New York Times, and The Vanishing American Jew by Alan Dershowitz. As one of the authors of Habits for Success, Antony earned the credentials of best-selling author from both The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
