Basant Shahi is a professional cricket coach and former player. He was a member of Nepal's first international team fielded at the 1996 ACC Championship.
He has been Head Coach of Nepal's U-19 and U-16 team and has coached other domestic teams. He formed the Tirupati Cricket Club in Bhairahawa, and was secretary on Rupandehi Cricket Association.[1]
He is the head coach of Nepal Premier League team Kathmandu Gurkhas.[citation needed]
