At the end of Sigurd Eysteinsson's reign as Earl of Orkney. Sigurd was challenged by a noble Pictish ruler called Máel Brigte the Buck-Tooth who had 40 men while Sigurd had 80 men. The battle would end in victory for earl Sigurd and Máel would be defeated and Sigurd would behead him, Sigurd would die later on because Máel Brigte head that would scratch his leg, and Sigurd would later get an infection and die probably around modern-day Sidera or Cyderhall near Dornoch.[1]
