Bear Country is an upcoming film directed by Derrick Borte and starring Russell Crowe. Borte and Daniel Forte wrote the screenplay adapted from the Thomas Perry novel Strip.

editThe film is written and directed by Derrick Borte who wrote the screenplay alongside Daniel Forte based on the Thomas Perry novel, Strip. Mark Fasano of Nickel City Pictures will produce with Jeffrey Greenstein of A Higher Standard, Mark Bower and Bruno Mustic of Life & Soul Pictures, and David Lipper and Robert A. Daly jr. of Latigo films who are co-financing with Gramercy Park Media.[1]
Russell Crowe was attached to the lead role in May 2024.[2]
Principal photography is scheduled for Australia and Los Angeles, starting in October 2024.[3]
