Beast Games is an upcoming American reality competition television series. Hosted by Jimmy Donaldson (aka MrBeast), Beast Games follows over 1,000 contestants – the largest cast for a reality show – as they compete for the prize of over $5 million, the largest single prize money in reality television history, beating Squid Game: The Challenge's prize of US$4.56 million.

Beast Games is scheduled for release on Amazon Prime Video on December 19, 2024, and will consist of ten episodes.

On March 18, 2024, Jimmy Donaldson announced that he had secured a $100 million deal with Amazon MGM Studios to produce a reality television series titled Beast Games for Prime Video.[1] Starting on May 27, applications for the show opened.[2] Donaldson will serve as the host and executive producer. The budget for Beast Games is reported to be over $100 million dollars.[3]

Filming

Filming began with the first round, which was shot through July 18 to 22, 2024, inside of the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with a total of 2,000 contestants attending. The second round was filmed with the remaining 1,000 contestants in Toronto around August of that year.[4]

Criticisms and lawsuit

Contestants complained that they were denied food, water medication, and beds during the production of the show. Additionally, dozens reported that various of injuries took place during the first filming sessions, as well as mistreatment, sexual harassment and were not paid for overtime.[5] On September 16, 2024, a class action lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.[6]

Release

Beast Games is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on December 19, 2024,[7] and will consist of ten episodes.[8]
