Bharadi Painting
editBharadi Painting is a Tribal art form similar to Pithora It is Believed to be very Sacred Among the Tribal Of the Eastern part of Gujarat. Bhil Tribe of Dahod and Panchmahal practice Bharadi on occasions like Marriages and other Holly festivals Of the year they believe Bharadi is a god who protects marriage and blesses new couples for their new life. The Bharadi Trials depict how they connected to nature. While drawing Bharadi they use natural colours like Wheat Flour, Turmeric Powder, KUMKUM, and organic colours and clays. Bharadi paintings depict the life of tribal people e.g. Houses with Nature and Forests, Animals and the Bride and groom also depicted in Bharadi Painting. This Ritual is Practiced on the Day of the Haldi Ritual and they Worship Bharadi until the day of marriage. While Worshipping Bharadi They also offer alcohol which is made from Mahua(Mahuda) tree fruits it is an Indigenous alcohol made by tribals of Gujarat.
