This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Dr. Boby Chemmanur (born May 26, 1964) is an Indian businessman[1] and philanthropist from Thrissur, Kerala. He serves as the chairman of Chemmanur International Group, a conglomerate with business[2] interests in jewelry, real estate, hospitality, and finance.[3]
Early Life and Education
editBoby Chemmanur[4] was born into the Chemmanur family,[5] known for its longstanding involvement in the jewelry business since 1863. He completed his early education in Thrissur before pursuing higher studies in commerce. Chemmanur joined the family business at a young age and became involved in efforts to expand and modernize its operations.[6]
Career
editBoby Chemmanur began his career[7] in the family-owned business, Chemmanur Jewellers,[citation needed] a jewelry brand with a strong regional presence. Taking over the business in the early 1980s, he implemented new marketing strategies that played a significant role in expanding the brand. Under his leadership, Chemmanur Jewellers broadened its reach within India and internationally, establishing a wider footprint in the jewelry market.
Notably, Chemmanur introduced initiatives such as the "Gold-on-Wheels" campaign[8] and customer-centric gold savings schemes. These efforts were aimed at enhancing accessibility and affordability in gold jewelry. In a notable promotional effort, Chemmanur invited Argentine footballer Diego Maradona[9] to India, which garnered substantial public interest and media coverage.
In addition to his role in the jewelry industry, Chemmanur has diversified his business portfolio. He is the founder of Oxygen Resorts, a hospitality chain, and Chemmanur Credits and Investments Limited, a financial services company, thus expanding his ventures into the tourism and finance sectors.[10]
Philanthropy
editChemmanur is involved in various charitable[11] initiatives[12], primarily through the Chemmanur Charitable Trust. The trust supports projects in healthcare, education, and housing for underserved communities. Through this foundation, Chemmanur has facilitated healthcare services such as medical camps, provided scholarships to students from low-income backgrounds, and funded housing projects aimed at improving living conditions for those in need.[13]
Personal Life
editBoby Chemmanur maintains an active presence on social media[14], where he has a substantial following. He allocates part of his resources and time to charitable initiatives,[15] including founding Life Vision Charity Homes, an organization that provides support and care[16] for destitute individuals.[17]
Awards and Recognitions
editBoby Chemmanur has received multiple awards recognizing his work in business and philanthropy.[18] He holds a Guinness World Record for completing an 812-kilometer run intended to promote world peace and encourage blood donation.[19] Among his various awards, he has identified the Mother Teresa Award[20] as particularly significant.
