Brandon Woodly Walensky (Born April 5, 1992) is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt athlete and instructor. He is affiliated with the San Diego’s Clark Gracie Academy (Gracie Allegiance), registered in International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Clark Gracie has awarded him with his black belt, and currently instructs students at San Marcos, California.

Early years

Walensky was born in Oceanside, California. He eventually moved to San Marcos, California at the age of 5. His parents encouraged him to practice various sports, including soccer, basketball, Judo, and eventually settled for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Walensky later joined the Gracie Allegiance, where he learned to coach and mentor as a brown belt. In December 16, 2016, he was promoted to black belt by Clark Gracie.[1]

Career

Walensky has competed in Gi and No-Gi tournaments, including: Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI), Metamoris, and International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) World No-Gi Championships. He currently instructs students at his own gym located in San Marcos, California.[1]
