C/2024 G1 (Wierzchos) is a long period comet discovered on 7 April, 2024, by Kacper Wierzchos.[1] At the time of discovery, it was a 20th magnitude object.[1] It will pass perihelion on October 21, at a distance of 3.9 AU, and is expected to brighten to magnitude 19.6.[3]
