This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by CharlieMehta 3 months ago. |

CARiD.com is an online retailer of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories, offering customers mechanical repair parts, collision body parts, performance accessories, wheels and tires, interior and exterior accessories, lighting products, audio and electronic accessories, and tools. The business is headquartered in Cranbury, NJ.[4] The CARiD.com website carries close to 17 million SKUs[5] sourced from nearly 5500 brands[5], including name-brand aftermarket, OEM, and private-label brands. The CARiD brand is one of 8 under ID Auto Inc.
History
editThe company was founded as Onyx Enterprises Inc. in 2008[6] and initially focused on selling automotive accessories. The business expanded over the next ten years to include repair parts from aftermarket and OEM suppliers.[7]
In 2020, Onyx Enterprises entered into an agreement with Legacy Acquisition Corp. that resulted in Onyx becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Legacy.[6] Following the merger, the company became publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange, trading under the symbol "ID."[1]
Legacy Acquisition Corp. was a publicly-traded Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) listed on the NYSE. Upon its listing, Legacy distinguished itself as the sole company on this stock exchange to feature leadership and sponsorship predominantly from African American managers and investors. The ambition of the founders and management was for Legacy to exemplify how African Americans and minority business leaders can not only ascend to the top of corporate hierarchies but also thrive as entrepreneurs, especially in the context of Wall Street mergers and acquisitions.[8][9]
In 2024, a majority stake in CARiD was obtained by Fifth Star Inc., a company active in the consumer technology sector. The $35 million investment enabled CARiD's parent company, ID Auto Inc., to make strategic improvements in key areas, including diversifying the product portfolio while improving the shopping experience.[10]
Private Label Brands
editCARiD.com sells a number of products under various in-house brand names, including Lumen, Torxe, and Rixxu.
