CLOVER is an 8-bit digital communications mode that is designed for narrowband, high-frequency radio that can transmit ASCII characters and executable files without control characters, decreasing throughput.[1][2] It can also adapt to current transmit/receive conditions by changing the modulation format and data throughput using the forward error correction provided by Reed-Solomon data encoded in each data block. [2]
