Caitlin Bettenay (born 3 September 1998) is a current Australian beach volleyball player. She also represented the Australian women’s national volleyball team for 5 years from 2015 – 2020 before switching to beach volleyball. Caitlin attended college in the United States for 4 years on a volleyball scholarship where she played indoor volleyball for 2 years (2016 - 2018) at Portland State university[1] and then transferred to San Jose State university for her remaining 2 years (2018–2020) where she played both indoor[2] and beach volleyball.[3] She graduated with her bachelors in science, majoring in kinesiology.
Currently she competes on the FIVB world tour with her partner Phoebe Bell.
Caitlin is also a nationally accredited level 2 coach, where she coaches at her own volleyball academy and with playbook coach.[4]

editCaitlin also owns two businesses, one being a coffee business called B.A.L.A coffee, based out of the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and the other being a volleyball academy, called B.A.L.A Academy.
The academy has four tiers to cater to all levels of volleyball. The tiers are Foundations for beginners, Aspire for athletes that have some experience, Advance for those that play at a representative level, and Elite for professional or very high level players.
Caitlin is also an athlete ambassador in the Good Village Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Problem Solvers Program.[5]
Caitlin is married to professional indoor volleyball player Trent O'Dea.
