Buildings
editThere are a number of buildings around the central area of camp with a number of buildings being replaced recently due to a number of reasons including their age and capacity. There are also many structures along the peninsula with none of them being fully enclosed.
Dining Hall
editThe Kenneth W. Ford Lodge or otherwise called the dining hall is a large hall with a kitchen used for serving meals during summer camp season. It was given the name after Kenneth W. Ford awarded four grants to Camp Baker in the 1990's.The hall has a max occupancy of 360 people as noted by a Fire Marshal certificate at the entrance. There are two alcoves on either side of the main hall and several bathrooms near the kitchen. On one side of the building is a large ramp leading from the parade grounds to a small hall in the building where food is served.
Gratke Center
editThe George Gratke Center or otherwise called Gratke or Gratke center is a small building with a conference room, bathrooms, and a small kitchen. The bathrooms have have showers inside them and there is a tv in the conference room. The camp office is a room next to the conference room.
Shower House
editThe original shower house was replaced in 2022 with a new larger building that contains separate rooms instead of a single room and separate stalls like the old shower house has.[2] As of now the older shower house is used for storage and has yet to be removed or modified.
Staff Shower House
editThe original staff shower house was built with the camp in 1954, but was demolished and replaced with a new building in 2024. [3]
Medical Lodge
editThe new medical lodge was finished in 2023 after the previous one was demolished.[4] The original medical lodge had structural problems with its roof falling apart many years before the building was demolished. There are multiple examination rooms in the new medical lodge and an AED is right next to the entrance on the outside.
Trading Post
editThe trading post is connected to the quartermaster building and is a small shop that typically sells camping gear, snacks, and other scouting items.
