The Campaign against Knut Bosson Grip (Swedish: Kampanjen mot Knut Bosson Grip) was a successful campaign initiated by Margarete I of the Kalmar Union against the powerful Knut Bosson Grip in 1398.

Background

edit

Bo Jonsson Grip, and the father of Knut Bosson Grip, was the richest man in Sweden. Knut joined the opposition to Queen Margareta when he saw how essential parts of his inherited property would be given to the crown after Queen Margareta's settlement with the Swedish nobility in 1388.
