Carolina Maluhy (São Paulo, May 5, 1975) is a Brazilian architect.
Graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, also studied design at Sacci Università in Florence. Daughter of the fashion designer Candace Brown and granddaughter of the French-Canadian artist Marthe Dessureault, she began her career working with the architect Isay Weinfeld, where she collaborated on award-winning projects such as Clube Chocolate, Hotel Fasano, and Forneria San Paolo, among others.
In 2005, she opened her own practice in São Paulo and, in 2015, a new headquarters in London. Currently, in addition to the production in Brazil, she has projects in countries such as England, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Italy, and France. Among her best-known works on a residential and commercial works scale are the Empório and Templo do Bosque at Fazenda Boa Vista, and the stores of Alexandre Birman, Cris Barros, and A. Niemeyer, among others.
The studio’s portfolio also includes interiors, product design, and furniture design, and has gain recognition by international awards such as Dezeen Awards, Prix Versailles Awards, and Loop Award, as well as the nomination as a judge for the Dezeen Awards[1]. Her work is characterized by the purity of formal design, linked to the use of natural materials-such as concrete, stone, wood and elements of Brazilian modern architecture.
