About the Team
editIn Trackmania Nations Forever, a dedicated team of elite players is making a name for themselves as masters of hunting the best times on the game's most challenging maps. Specializing in "LOL" and "tech" maps, this team thrives on short, high-intensity tracks that demand pinpoint precision, lightning-fast reactions, and creative solutions to unconventional layouts. LOL maps, known for their quirky and unpredictable designs.[1], test their adaptability, while tech maps push their ability to execute clean drifts, tight lines, and flawless cornering[2]. With a relentless drive to shave milliseconds off their runs, the team meticulously studies every map's intricacies, perfecting their techniques through countless retries. Their camaraderie and shared passion for speed have not only earned them impressive leaderboard rankings but also a rising reputation as some of the most innovative and skilled players in the Trackmania community.
July 2023: The Birth of Tzig's Cavern Cup and Community
editIn July 2023, the inaugural Tzig's Cavern Cup was launched on a newly created server of the same name. The cup featured a €300 prize pool distributed based on players' average server scores: €150 for 1st place, €100 for 2nd place, and €50 for 3rd place. Competitors raced on seven specially designed maps, each presenting unique challenges: Technique, Transitions, Release, Angles, Control, Tricks, and Consistency.
The winners of the cup were Narcor (1.1 avg*), L94 (2.4 avg), and Fonq (4.6 avg), who displayed exceptional skill and precision. Following the competition, the server was renamed Tzig's Cavern and transformed into a public hunting ground where players could pursue personal bests and world records. It became a hub for hunting Mini Lol and lolsport maps, attracting a diverse community of competitive Trackmania enthusiasts.
Accompanying the server's creation was the launch of a dedicated Discord community, fostering discussions, collaborations, and camaraderie among players. Over the months, Tzig's Cavern grew in popularity, earning recognition for its competitive players and the world records they achieved. Mini competitions, such as bounty hunting—where coppers, a form of in game currency[3], were awarded to players who broke world records—added to the server's dynamic atmosphere. Eventually, the server was rebranded as Cavern, solidifying its status as a vibrant community for Trackmania hunters and competitors to connect and compete.

Team War History
editIn Trackmania Nations Forever, team "wars" are a competitive format where two teams face off on a selection of maps chosen by both sides. These intense battles test players' skills across a variety of track styles and layouts, with the objective of securing the best times within a set time period. Scoring in team wars is usually based on the top 15 positions on each map, with 1st place earning 15 points for their team, 2nd place earning 14 points, and so on, down to 15th place, which contributes 1 point. However, this may vary from time to time, and is decided upon between the teams before the event begins. The cumulative points across all maps determine the winning team, emphasizing both individual excellence and strategic depth as teams work to fill as many top positions as possible. This format highlights not only raw speed and precision but also teamwork, as each player's performance contributes to their team's overall success.
