The Center for Philanthropy Studies (CEPS) at the University of Basel is a research institute specializing in the study of the nonprofit sector and philanthropy.[1] Founded in 2008, it was one of the first organizations of its kind in Europe.[2] It is headed by Georg von Schnurbein.
Research
editCEPS is notable for its annual report on Swiss philanthropic foundations, which it co-publishes with the Center for Foundation Law at the University of Zurich.[3]
It has also done pioneering work on deploying artificial intelligence in the nonprofit sector.[4]
The Center has programs for both bachelor and master degree students.[5]
