Chadwick Optical is a privately owned optical laboratory located in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, United States. Established in 1981, the company specializes in custom optical products designed to address low vision and neurological disorders.
Products and Services
editChadwick Optical produces specialty lenses and frames for patients with a variety of visual and neurological impairments. Notable developments include lenses for photosensitive epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries (TB), and color vision deficiencies.
The company has contributed to aniseikonia management with the production of size lenses and the development of an online aniseikonia calculator, which assists in determining iseikonic prescriptions.
Chadwick Optical also manufactures products related to the Peli Lens™ system, designed to aid individuals with homonymous hemianopia. The Peli Lens™ system was developed with funding from NEI-NIH Grant EY014723, awarded to Chadwick Optical. A multi-center clinical trial associated with this project, published in 2008, reported a 74% patient acceptance rate.
