Chance Technologies, LLC is an American technology company that produces Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) systems and services for use in commercial, government, and defense sectors. It is headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana. Chance Maritime Technologies produces the MC-29, a twenty-nine foot long USV capable of over 30 days of endurance[2].
In 2023, Chance Maritime Technologies was awarded three contracts with NOAA to deliver uncrewed data services, valued at up to $22.5 million[3] [4]. The contracts provide data to NOAA collected by uncrewed maritime systems for living marine resource surveys and research, meteorological and oceanographic observations, and ocean exploration and characterization.
