Chandra deep Roy was born on 19 May 2004 in Kolkata. His work has been featured in numerous Bengali and English newspapers and magazines. In addition to writing poetry and short stories, he has participated in quiz shows, coming in first in a state level junior competition. He won the Kobindro (The poet) award for his collection of poems titled “Poems of the Earth”. He also wrote a Bengali poetry book named "Chonder bashko." He attended the Stratford Day School and Thakurnagar High School, and later took a B.A. course at Gobardanga Hindu College.
