Charles Merioles is a Filipino information technology executive and government technology official. He has held senior information technology positions in the Philippine government, including at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). In 2025, he was elected vice president of CIO Philippines. In 2017, he published an analysis of publicly released statements of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN) of members of the Philippine House of Representatives, using data analysis and visualization.[11] His tenure as a professional faculty at De La Salle – College of St. Benilde covers predictive analytics prescriptive analytics, including integer programming.[12]
In 2021, he launched the Business Intelligence 2.0 platform for IPOPHL to improve the agency’s evidence-based decision-making through real-time data visualizations, descriptive and predictive analytics, and actionable insights.[13]
Mobile application
[edit]Merioles was the designer and developer of IPOPHL Mobiliz[14], a mobile application highlighting the core online services of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines. The application was distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.[15][16][17]
