Christian Abad Amat (born 5 August 2006) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim.
Career
editBorn in Muro de Alcoy, Abad began his football career with local club Muro CF, where he played from 2013 to 2016. At the age of 10, he joined the youth academy of Valencia, where he progressed through various age groups until reaching the under-15 level. In his final season with Valencia, Abad played on loan for Alcoyano.
In 2021, Abad moved to Elche's youth setup. During the 2022–23 season, he played a crucial role for Elche's Juvenil B team, competing in the Liga Nacional Juvenil de Fútbol, the second tier of Spanish youth football. Under his guardianship, the team made history by winning their group championship for the first time, securing the title with five matches remaining.
In July 2024, at the age of 18, Abad joined Malaysia Super League team Johor Darul Ta'zim.
