This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Christian Flores Aldama was born on July 31, 1980, in Mexico City, Mexico. He pursued his education in filmmaking at the Sergio Olhovich Film School, where he was trained in the Russian filmmaking school technique. This education deeply influenced his approach to filmmaking, emphasizing narrative and the language of film itself.[1]
Career
editChristian Flores Aldama has developed a distinctive style within the lo-fi filmmaking movement, focusing on narrative depth and the exploration of film language.[2] His work spans several notable films, including WARFILM, Portraits of Workers in Finland, Reinita: A Magical and Political Landscape, Notes About the Sea: Composition on Red and Blue, and The Forbearance of the Magpie.[3] He is currently working on a trilogy exploring the essence of what makes humans human.[4]
In addition to his filmmaking, Flores Aldama is an accomplished painter, working within the surrealist genre. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Finland and Sweden.[5]
Curation and Programming
editChristian Flores Aldama has significantly contributed to the curation of international film. He curated the Finnish Films Retrospective in Mexico City at Cineteca Nacional, as well as Nordic film retrospectives at both Cineteca Nacional and Filmoteca UNAM.[6] He has also programmed for a cinema club in the Arctic Circle, where fostering a film culture presents unique challenges due to the remote location and harsh environmental conditions.[7]
He trained at the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Training, further refining his expertise in cinema.[8] Flores Aldama is also a board member of the Rovaniemi Cinema in Finland, contributing to the development and promotion of film culture in the region.[7]

editIn addition to his work in filmmaking and curation, Christian Flores Aldama has served as an occasional lecturer at the University of Lapland, where he has shared his expertise in filmmaking with students.[9] His insights into cinema have been published in the Finnish magazine Filmihullu and in Mexico in the books Cine, Discurso y Estética volumes 1, 2, and 3, published by PROCINE and UACM.[10]
Notable Achievements
editThroughout his career, Flores Aldama has been recognized for his unique contributions to both filmmaking and the arts.
