Civil Air Patrol Special Operations units (CAPSOC) is the special operation unit for the Civil Air Patrol. Its founding date is not public

information but it is speculated that it was founded at the same time the Civil Air Patrol was founded, December 1, 1941.^[1]

Mission

CAPSOC has two main missions, to provide the national commander with a tier one special operation unit, to provide cadets with something cool to talk about.^[2]

Tier One Special Operation Unit

The primary mission is to to provide the national commander with a tier one special operation unit. This is the most secretive part of the Civil Air Patrol with very little known to this day.

Provide Cadets

One of the most well known parts of CAPSOC's mission is to provide cadets with something cool to talk about. ^[2]
