Conny & the Prellwitz is a Swedish band based in Beijing, formed in 2021 with a mission to entertain. The original band members were Conny Larsson, Timothy Prellwitz, Filip Sandén, Matilde Eng and Joakim Abeleen. Conny and Prellwitz both left the band, but since the logo was already designed with their names and a lot of band merch had been produced, it was decided to keep the original name and logo. Later on Ana Costa and Dennis Klingmark joined the crew. Several other artists have also done collaborations with the band, such as the violinist Paola Zuleta, the metal drummer Lea Larsson, the Norwegian singer Silje, the bass man Johan Öhman and pianist Per Augustsson.
Conny & the Prellwitz have played at many classic venues in Beijing, such as Modernista, Moonee and Ball House.[1] Their big claim to fame is a concert inside the Forbidden City of Beijing in 2022. [2] In 2023 a documentary was produced about the band, including back stage material and personal interviews with the band members. [3]
