The crime of ''Los Galindos'' was a multiple crime in which 5 people were murdered. It took place July 22, 1975, in the farmhouse Los Galindos, Paradas, Sevilla, Andalucía. The perpetrator was never discovered.[1]

The Farmhouse

The farmhouse's owner was María de las Mercedes Delgado y Durán (Madrid 1934 - Sevilla 2019), who Married Gonzalo Fernández de Cordova y Topete (Sevilla 1917-Sevilla 2015), marquis of Valparaíso and Granina, in 1954. The marquis of Valparaíso and Granina had left the army to manage his wife's properties. He named Antonio Gutiérrez Martín as the administrator, a fellow military man.

The property had an extension of about 400 hectares, and it was mainly used for the cultivation of wheat and sunflowers. A small fraction of the property was destined for olive groves.

The farmhouse is 4 km away from Paradas. The way in was through a lane that starts from the road that connects Paradas con El Palomar.

The property has a courtyard of 2000 m2 and two househoulds. One of the two households was permanently habited by the foreman's family. The other was for the marquis and his wife and was used occasionally.

The Crimes

On July the 22nd, 1975, the bodies of Manuel Zapata (59 y/o), the foreman, Juana Martin Macias (53y/o), his wife, Ramón Parrilla González (40y/o), tractor driver, Asunción Peralta Montero (34 y/o) and her husband, José González Jiménez (27 y/o), a tractor driver. All of the victims were residents of Paradas.[2]

The foreman and his wife were beaten to death with the mechanical part of a baler. Ramón Parrilla perished due to the gunshots of a shotgun. Asunción Peralta and José González were beaten to death, later, the perpetrator burned their remains.

Manuel Zapata's remains were the last to be found. However, the autopsy revealed that he was the last to die.

Two different autopsies were carried out, one immediately after the crimes and the other one eight years later. The latter was carried out by Professor Doctor Luis Frontera Carreras.[3]

Summary

The summary of the case 20/75, with over a thousand pages, has been lost since August 2014, after the documents had to be moved due to the courthouse's roof collapse.[4]

Prescription

In July 1995, 20 years after the events, the crime was prescribed. Due to the lack of an official suspect, a legal judgment was never carried out.
