Gouasmia Fayssal (قواسمية فيصل Arabic : born 26 August 1991), known professionally as Beatoto, is an Algerian DJ and Producer . He started his career under the pseudonym Fmix until 2022 before adopting his new stage name. He incorporates reggae, soul, hip hop and Amapiano in his music.
Life and career
edit- Beatoto was born in Tlemcen, Algeria, a city renowned as the capital of Islamic culture. His formative years were spent in Algiers.
- He pursued studies in literature and philosophy, cultivating a deep appreciation for the nuances of language and wordplay. However, his passion soon transitioned into the realm of music.
- From a young age, he found solace in solitude, often seeking refuge from the bustling world. His affinity for introspection led him to immerse himself in music festivals like Tomorrowland, where he marveled at the symbiotic relationship between DJs and their audience. It was during these experiences that his fascination with DJing and the art of controlling turntables ignited.
- As time progressed, his focus shifted towards honing his skills as a DJ and exploring the intricate dynamics of musical composition and performance. Today, he is driven by a fervent dedication to his craft, continually seeking new avenues of creative expression and pushing the boundaries of sonic innovation.
- In 2015, Beatoto decided to focus solely on his artistic life, away from studies. He joined the Zanga Crazy band and participated in the first comedy series with the group called Bekri vs Lyoum. His first appearance was in the month of Ramadan on the Algerian Al Nahar Tv Then he met Karim El Gang, who suggested that he work with him as a DJ in a television segment to discover the talents of rap and hip-hop, thus he got to know a lot of singers, most notably Didine Canon 16, Phobia, L'anonym, Farid Kalamity. Subsequently, he received a similar request in another session called Zik Mag with journalist Farah Yasmine.
- In 2016, New Year's Eve marked his first official party in Tunisia at Club Latino in Hammamet. The following year, in 2017, Afterward, he was offered a job at the Star Studio Club at the Sheraton Club des Pins Hotel.
- In 2022, he made the decision to travel to Dubai to further develop his talent because he loved competing
- He worked in several clubs such as Nargui Five, Sky5, Rhain, and many other well-known clubs in Dubai.
