DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is a sports rating system used in Pickleball to estimate the relative skill level of players, rating players on a scale of 2.00 to 8.00. The DUPR rating algorithm is still under development and is not published, but as of January 30th, 2024 the DUPR algorithm considers the overall score of matches, the regency of matches, and the total match count of a player to assign a rating.[1].
History
editSteve Kuhn founded DUPR in 2021,[2] and was purchased by an investor group led by David Kass in January 2024[3]
