Damned (stylized as DAMNED), (Japanese: ダムド, Hepburn: Damudo), is a Japanese visual kei metal band, formed in Tokyo in 2022.
On March 30, 2022 a new project band was announced under the name VELTRO (Japanese: ベルトロ, Hepburn: Berutoro),[1] in September 16, 2022 It was announced that the band would officially form and change their name to DAMNED. [2]
Biography
editProject band VELTRO
editTheir first single consisting of two songs "Revenir" and "Poada" was released on June 1, 2022.[3]
Their second single also consisting of two songs "Grimnir" and "Erased" was released on August 25, 2022.[4]
2022: Official formation and activities as DAMNED
editThe group now known formally as DAMNED released their first single "VELTRO" in November 1, 2022[5] and their second single consisting of two songs "hydrangea." and "SET ME FIRE" in November 25, 2022.[6]
2023 - Present: Changes in band lineup
editOn June 14, 2023 it was announced that guitarist You (瑶) would be leaving damned on June 28, 2023.[7]and in November 11th it was announced that Keigo would be withdrawing from the band on November 22, 2023.[8]
It was announced that two new members joined the band on January 12, 2024, vocalist Hitone (一音) and guitarist Suika (酔花).[9]
The group released their ninth single consisting of two songs "Anemone" and "Grimnir" on January 13, 2024.[10]
The group released their tenth single "Thanatosis" on April 13, 2024,[11]and their eleventh single "Utsuro" (虚) on April 19, 2024[12]
