Draft:Daniela Cox Knudsen

Daniela Cox Knudsen is a naturvejleder (nature guide) and klimaaktivist (climate activist) born in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. Since a young age, she has been committed to environmental conservation and biodiversity education.

Works

Daniela has worked as a nature guide for National Geographic and other local companies in the Galápagos, where she has led educational and conservation expeditions. In 2019, she moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, where she continues her work as a nature guide at the Museet for Søfart in Helsingør and for various tourism companies in Copenhagen.

In addition to her work in sustainable tourism, Daniela has been an active voice in the fight against climate change. She has participated in numerous conferences and demonstrations, including the "Befri Jorden" demonstration in 2023, where she highlighted the importance of transparency and ethics in environmental management.

Throughout her career, Daniela has worked in the Environmental Department of San Cristóbal and has served as an alternate assembly member representing the Galápagos. Her passion for education and leadership has led her to work with youth on leadership and sustainability issues.

Personal life

Daniela is also the third generation of her family in San Cristóbal, Galápagos. Her grandfather, Osvaldo Cox, arrived in the Galápagos in 1943 and was one of the first settlers on the island. Daniela has studied sustainable business in Australia and founded Plura Consulting in Denmark in 2019, a consultancy focused on sustainability.
