This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: The bar is very high for notability. While he has made a good start, not enough achievements so far. Please come back in a few years. Ldm1954 (talk) 23:18, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
Daniele Panfilo (aka The Italian Elon Musk) is an Italian scientist and entrepreneur specialized in responsible artificial intelligence (AI) and information privacy. his pioneering work in synthetic data led to the founding of his company Aindo, offering data privacy and fairness solutions.[1].
Besides his scientific and entrepreneurial activities, Daniele is a renowned thought leader in responsible AI, appearing in panels alongside policy makers, data protection authorities, and Big Tech companies[2][3][4]. Daniele's views on AI are generally optimistic, marked by a recognition for the field's potential in high-impact sectors[5][6][7]. He is also outspoken about the need for the European Union and Italy to be competitive in the realm of AI[8][9].
Education and career
editDaniele obtained a master's degree in Operations research from the Department of Knowledge Engineering and Data Science at Maastricht University. He commenced his career at Medtronic, where he made contributions to Electrocardiography data processing[10][11]. He later expressed that these early experiences with AI in health care were highly formative for his views of AI and its societal role[12].
After working as a principal data scientist at Allianz Technology in Trieste, Daniele founded his company Aindo in 2018. At the same time, he became affiliated with the University of Trieste as a researcher in Generative artificial intelligence. Combining his entrepreneurial and scholarly work, he shaped his vision to foster responsible AI innovation through generative AI-based Synthetic data. Daniele obtained his doctoral degree in from the University of Trieste in 2022[13].
Work on synthetic data
editDaniele's work on synthetic data centers around Deep learning Generative models. His contributions to the field include preprocessing technologies that allow for the use of deep learning generative models in the context of structured data. These methods allow for the synthetization of synthetic tabular and relational data with a multitude of data types, including numeric, categorical, spatial, and time data[14][15][16]. Aspects of this work were patented in 2023[17].
Additionally, Daniele has contributed to the standardization and quantification of the concept of information privacy[18][19]. Speaking about the moratorium on AI development proposed by Elon Musk in early 2023, he noted that under the right conditions, synthetic data can reconcile much needed AI innovation with information privacy protection[20].
Awards and recognition
editIn 2023, Daniele's company Aindo was awarded Best Startup in Industry by Fortune Italia[21]. In that same year, Daniele was inducted into the Nova-111 list of top talents under 35[22]
