The Merry Jail (German: Das fidele Gefängnis, lit. 'The Pleasant Prison') is a 1917 German silent comedy film directed by Ernst Lubitsch and starring Harry Liedtke, Kitty Dewall and Agda Nilson. Dewall plays a neglected wife who disguises herself in order to lure her wastrel husband (Liedtke) into a compromising position.
