Daser David is a Nigerian IT policy expert, digital technology entrepreneur, social entrepreneur born October 30 1983. On August 20 2024, President Bola Tinubu appointed Daser as the president and chief executive officer of Digital Bridge Institute,[1] underlining the government's drive on it's promises favoring youth inclusion. Daser is the founder of the first innovation hub in Northern Nigeria.[2]

Daser was the director-general Plateau State Information And Communication Technology Development Agency under the administration of Simon Lalong.[3]

Education

Daser graduated with a Bachelors of science degree in biochemistry and national diploma in computer science from University of Jos in 2009.[3] In 2023, Daser earned MA from University of Abuja.

Career

After his mandatory one year national service, Daser worked for the Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Police Force.[4]

In 2016, Daser launched nHUB in Jos. The tech hub co-partnered with University of Jos to boost tech skills among undergraduates.[5]

PICTDA ( 2018- 2023)

As director-general of Plateau State Information And Communication Technology Development Agency, Daser embarked on Code Plateau,[6] Silicon Plateau projects, designed to supervise all IT hubs across the state. Quizzed on the agency's response to tech skills gap, Daser said "our people now see the role of technology in their daily operations so the agency is being appreciated the more and we will continue to increase the effort to encourage more young people toward innovations; creating solutions that address our unique needs.[7]

Daser was appointed as a member of the Nigerian Data Protection implementation committee inaugurated September 4, 2023.[8]

Daser is married with children.
