This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Dave Blumenthal is an Australian artist, most notable for drawing cartoons and dad jokes on his children's lunch bags under the nickname Sandwich Bag Dad.[1] Blumenthal started drawing on his eldest daughter's lunch bags in 2012 to add some fun to her school day and over the course of more than a decade, has amassed a following on social media, particularly Instagram and Facebook.[2] His work features a variety of pop culture references, puns, and characters, all drawn in a humorous style and has been featured across numerous Australian and international media outlets[3][4][5][6], television news[7] and radio stations[8][9].
Blumenthal's cartoon art was the subject of a solo exhibition at The National Cartoon Gallery in Coffs Harbour in 2021[10] and at The Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery in 2022[11]. He has also published a book of his lunch bag cartoons entitled "The Cartoon Chronicles of Sandwich Bag Dad[12]" which features some of his favorite creations.
Blumenthal was also a finalist in the Bald Archy Satirical Portrait Competition in 2023 and again in 2024.[13][14][15]
