- Comment: Not sure how they would meet WP:NPROF?Granted, WP:NACADEMIC #5 provides for notability based on a named chair, but that means a permanent seat, whereas it would appear that the George Sarton Chair at Ghent, referred to in this draft, is an annual one? David P. Baker is a professor of Sociology, Education, and Demography at Pennsylvania State University. His research explores the global impact of education, focusing on the rise of the "schooled society" and the influence of education and science on cultural transformation.[1]. His recent work examines the historical relationship between higher education and the growth of scientific knowledge from 1900 to 2020. Baker is also a Non-residential Fellow at The Brookings Institution[2] and the 2023-24 George Sarton Chair and Medalist in the History of Science at Ghent University in Belgium[3]
