Dawood Pervez (born 1975) is a British businessman known for being the Managing Director of Bestway Wholesale, part of his family-owned business, Bestway Group.[1] He is also the Chairman of Federation of Wholesale Distributors.
Biography
editPervez is the son of Sabiha Qasim and Sir Anwar Pervez. Pervez attended Eton College, received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Politics and Modern History from University of Manchester and studied law at Oxford University.[2] He subsequently worked as a lawyer for international mergers and acquisitions at Linklaters.[3][4]
Pervez joined Bestway in 2002 overseeing legal, human resources, property and marketing operations. He later looked into the export and trading operations leading the group to win the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade for its export activities in 2012.[5] Since 2018, he is the managing director,[6] and has headed the group in acquisitions including the acquisition of Costcutter.[7][8]
In January 2022, he was appointed as the Chairman of Federation of Wholesale Distributors.[9][10] He is also a Trustee of Grocery Aid and The Bestway Foundation.[11]
