The Delta Prize is an biannual award of 0.5 million euro prize money, to be spent on (applied) research and is awarded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences.
The prize is awarded to two professors from a Dutch university of applied sciences who conducted distinguished research in their field. At least 10% of the prize money has to be spend on the role of research-ambassador of the professor.
