Disney Music Parade is a rhythm game for iOS and Android devices developed by R-Force and published by Taito, released in 2021. The game plays similarly to Taito's Groove Coaster series, with music from various Disney movies, TV series, and events.
Gameplay
editThe player's avatar is a train running along a twisting track, with a glowing circle in front. Along the track are multiple different targets, and when a target lines up with the circle in front of the train, the player must either tap, slide, or hold their finger on the screen. Depending on the timing, targets can be scored in one of four ways: Perfect, Great, Good, and Miss. Miss scores will drain the player's life bar, and if the life bar is fully drained, they automatically fail the stage. A Fever bar fills as players hit targets, and during Fever mode, coins can be earned. Coins can be spent before levels on items that have a variety of effects, from increasing the player's health to automatically increasing Miss scores to Good scores.
Players are encouraged to use the game's gacha mechanics to earn higher scores. Different characters can be drawn from the game's gacha system, and characters provide differing point bonuses in gameplay depending on their rank and level. Some characters also provide new songs to be used in gameplay. Each character also has one of multiple special abilities, from refilling the life bar to providing more points for targets. When a duplicate character is drawn, it contributes to the original's rank. Characters can also increase their skills' potency by spending orbs, which are gained at the end of stages
The game also has a multiplayer mode, where four players move along tracks simultaneously. All four players contribute to a grand total together, and at the end of the stage, a higher grand total will result in all four players gaining higher rank orbs.
