Distortional Concepts is an American hip hop musical collective formed in Sumter County, Florida in 1993. They are considered one of the most innovative hip hop groups to come out of Florida during the 90's underground scene.

Produced by Chef Rek aka The Gambitt for The Next productions and features artists: The Verbal Mind Twista aka T-Dash, Focusthru, CAP AKA Mad E , Lord Abbot, Mista Nastyee, NCYDUS, P.R.O. , Wu Gotti, Kaos, Def Prince of Chill, Maniac MC, and The Kuntree Boyz.☢

Their debut album 'Distortional Concepts' was released in 1996 and quickly became a Lofi classic with tracks like 'Three Pitches And Your Out' and 'What Is It That You Don't Get'.

In 2001 They released 'Gunfu - The Arrival' to critical acclaim with track 'Last Days' appearing in the soundtrack of "Alan Robertson's The Last Testament. '

In 2002 Distortional Concepts released the LP 'Street Life' which told the story of a young man attempting to leave the grasp of Mr. B and the ongoing struggle of street life in the 'Bush'.

Distortional Concepts have also released mix tapes including: 'Massive Flavors' 1994 and 'Voices From Underground' 1995.
