Dodge Woodall is a British event organiser and podcaster. He is the founder of the Bournemouth 7s Festival, often referred to as the "Sporting Glastonbury,"[1][2] and the host of the Eventful Lives Podcast. In addition to his work in events and media, he has developed an events management course to share his experience in the industry.[2] Woodall trained with the Wasps Academy and later played for the Leicester Tigers during his university years, drawing on these experiences in his approach to business and event management.[3]

Early life and education

In 1995, Woodall began studying Sports science at Loughborough University,[citation needed] a course with a focus on sports management and physical education. During his time at university, he briefly played for the Leicester Tigers.[3]

Career

Nightclub promotion

Woodall began his career in the nightlife industry, creating three student nightclub brands: Fill Ya Boots, Pop Ya Cherry, and BubbleLuv.[citation needed] Over the course of a decade, he scaled his business to 12 nightclubs weekly across the UK, organising over 1,500 events over 10 years.[2][4]

Bournemouth 7s Festival

In 2008, Woodall launched the Bournemouth 7s Festival. Held annually over the May Bank Holiday Weekend, the event attracts over 30,000 attendees and 400 sports teams, featuring rugby, netball, dodgeball, and more.[1][2] The festival has been described as the "Glastonbury of sport".[2][4]

The Harry Redknapp Show

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Woodall became the co-host of The Harry Redknapp Show, a podcast featuring candid conversations with sports personalities and celebrities, such as Sir Rod Stewart, Frank Lampard and Romesh Ranganathan.[5]I

Events course launch

In 2022, Woodall launched an events management course, Event Crowd, aimed at aspiring event professionals, covers planning, marketing, and scaling successful events.[1]

Eventful Lives podcast

In 2021, Woodall launched the Eventful Lives podcast, interviewing guests from a variety of fields, including business, sports, and entertainment.[citation needed]
