Donald Trump's cult of personality is a prominent feature of American supporters of the Republican Party in America and the political views of Donald Trump (known as Trumpism).
The cult surrounding Trump started to develop during his residential campaign in 2016. Trump’s campaign was viewed by spectators as being overly divisive, negative and problematic. His distain for political correctness and views on race and immigration as well as regular violence occurring at his rallies caused controversy.[1][2]
Although Trump did not win the popular vote, he won the 2016 presidential election by defeating the Democrat runner Hillary Clinton on 8 November, 2016.
