Dr. Qari Ikramullah Mohsin is Tamgha e Imtiaz holder and a well-known personality in Pakistan, recognized for his outstanding skills in the fields of Quran recitation and Tajweed. Born in 1983 in Khushab, a small city in the Punjab province of Pakistan, he displayed a passion for medicine and Islamic studies from a young age.
Following his secondary education, Dr. Mohsin pursued his dream of becoming a doctor by enrolling at Osh University Kyrgyzstan, Central Asian state Russia. After obtaining his medical degree in 2010, he began practicing medicine and providing medical care to the underprivileged.
In addition to his medical profession, Dr. Mohsin was interested in Quran recitation and Tajweed. He started learning the art of Qirat at a young age and began reciting the Quran in public gatherings. His exceptional talent in this field was soon recognized by whole Pakistan. There are a large number of Students in Pakistan and outside Pakistan and have benefited from Dr. Mohsin's recitation of the Qur'an
Dr. Mohsin's services as a Qari extended beyond Pakistan. He recited the Quran at public gatherings in several countries, including Turkey, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Iran, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. He also hosted Islamic programs on various TV channels including Pakistan National Television, Duniya TV, Capital TV, and served as the Ramadan transmission host for Rose News for five years.
Dr. Mohsin's achievements in the field of Quran recitation and Tajweed were acknowledged by several international organizations. In 2015, the Iranian government recognized him as one of the top ten best Quran reciters in the world, awarding him the best excellence award. The Al-Azhar University in Egypt also honored him with an honorary certificate as an Al-Azhar Qari.
Dr. Mohsin is the only medical doctor and Qari in Pakistan to have gained international recognition for his skills in Quran recitation and Tajweed. He is an A-category approved official Quran reciter for Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television, as well as the official Qari of the Pakistan Senate. Before the Prime Minister's address, Dr. Mohsin recites the Quran as part of the protocol.
Dr. Mohsin's extraordinary talents were honored by the Pakistani government with the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz presidential award on March 23, 2023. This award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional talent and achievements in their respective fields.
Dr. Mohsin is a proud Pakistani who not only excels in medicine but also has gained international recognition as a Qari. He is the owner of two hospitals that provide medical services to those in need. Dr. Mohsin is a symbol of excellence and dedication, and his contributions have been recognized both nationally and internationally. He currently resides in Islamabad with his family.
