Dr. Steven Mbella Mbua is a Cameroonian-born American minister associated with the Apostolic-Prophetic Movement. He is the founder of Christ Image International Church (CIIC), which is based in Bell County, Texas. Dr. Mbua has also written several books and resources.

editProphet Dr. Mbua's personal philosophy and driving passion are representing the Word and the Spirit, Faith, and the Anointing. He aspires to reach the community, city, and world with the gospel of Christ presented in a relevant and progressive way.
Biography
editDr. Steven Mbua's childhood aspirations were to become an engineer. However, his calling shifted as he was inspired by the Holy Spirit, leading him to a career in ministry. Over the years, Dr. Mbua has lived in Cameroon, Botswana, Denmark, South Africa, and the United States.
His professional career began with volunteering at Assemblies of God before he established his church in Botswana in 1999. Initially trained as an engineer, Dr. Mbua transitioned into full-time ministry, founding several significant organizations including Christ Image International Church, Rhema Gospel Light Ministries International, and Faith 4 Life Christian Centre. He is also the CEO and founder of WordnSpirit TV.
Dr. Mbua married Lydienne Caroline Mbua in 2002. They have four children and remain happily married.
Education
editIn 1997, Dr. Mbua enrolled in Rhema Bible Training Centre, where he received his first ministerial degree. His educational journey continued with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, followed by a Masters in Organizational Leadership, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies. He obtained his advanced degrees from Vision University in Australia and California. Dr. Mbua's educational path was influenced by his calling to become a theologian and Bible scholar, with the Holy Spirit guiding his major choices.
Ministry
editDr. Mbua began his preaching career at the age of 16 in Cameroon. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Centre and years of following Kenneth E. Hagin's teachings, Dr. Mbua founded Rhema Gospel Light Ministries International (RGLMI) in Gaborone, Botswana. The ministry’s motto is "Making Your Life Count In Your Generation".
In October 2007, Dr. Mbua felt a divine calling to relocate to the United States. He responded to this calling by moving his family of six and established Christ Image International Church (CIIC) in October 2014.
Dr. Mbua's preaching continues to impact many by focusing on nurturing the saints to maturity through the Word and the Spirit, as well as through faith and anointing.
Television and Other Programming
editFor many years, RGLMI broadcasted their services live on Omega TV, reaching 62 million homes. On April 22, 2020, Dr. Steven Mbua launched WordnSpirit TV, a television broadcasting network created to spread the message of Jesus globally.
Facilities
editSteve Mbua Ministries operates from a 24-acre property in Salado, Texas. The ministry also owns a 10-acre property in Georgetown, Texas.
